UAE Prayer Times Privacy Policy

UAE Prayer Times is a Garmin Connect IQ app that provides official prayer times published by the UAE General Authority of Islamic Affairs, Endowments & Zakat (AWQAF).

Data the app uses

If you choose automatic area selection, the app obtains a one-time location fix from your Garmin device and sends latitude and longitude to our Cloudflare-hosted relay. The relay uses those coordinates only to identify the nearest official AWQAF prayer area. You can avoid sharing location by selecting an emirate and area manually.

The app also sends the selected AWQAF emirate and area identifiers when downloading prayer timetables. It does not require an account and does not intentionally collect your name, email address, Garmin account details, contacts, health data, payment information, or advertising identifiers.

Storage and retention

Location coordinates are processed transiently and are not intentionally stored in an application database. Cloudflare may process and retain limited request and security logs under its own infrastructure policies. Prayer timetables and your settings are stored locally on your Garmin device.

Third-party services

The relay uses Cloudflare to operate and protect the service and retrieves official timetable and area data from UAE AWQAF. Their respective privacy practices may apply to their processing.

Sharing

We do not sell personal data. Data is shared only with the service providers described above as needed to operate the app, comply with law, or protect the service.

Your choices

You may use manual area selection instead of automatic location lookup. You can remove locally stored app data by uninstalling the app or clearing its settings on your Garmin device.
